Paula's day started on the highest floor of the tallest hotel in Glasgow, the Hilton Glasgow Hotel, which has such a stunning view over the city. This is where the Bridal Party got ready before heading to the incredible House for an Art Lover, where Paula & David were married. House for an Art Lover is built to a 1901 design by Charles Rennie MacKintosh, building started in 1989 and was finally completed in 1996. It was originally a competition entry, although sadly it was disqualified due to late entry of some interior drawings. I love all things Charles Rennie MacIntosh, he designed beautiful spaces that are just a dream to photograph in, so the fact that it rained just after the ceremony was wonderful as we got to take the group photos in the beautiful dining room.
It's not just the inside that's beautiful, the outside space around House for an Art Lover is stunning as well.... and even a little bit quirky with upturned giant jellies on the lawn! Glasgow City Council also manage a walled garden and you can apply to use this as a background for your wedding photos as well.... something that Paula & David decided to do, and as the rain cleared just before dinner we got to take some beautiful shots there too. Here is a small selection from the day....
This photo sums the day up for me... Paula & David just enjoy having a laugh together, and Paula you were just stunning on the day!!
Looking good girls...
...and the lads...
Paula & David I wish you every happiness for the future, Jxx
